Not sure where you heard that but no they don't all leak! I have had mine for 5 years and no leaks here! I also don;t have any trouble with the auto-shut off feature as some have stated. Alk you have to do is place the iron horizontal and it pops right back on, and mine takes no time to heat up! I may be the rare exception here, but I love my Rowenta!
