I so totally agree with this. My other big reason lately for procrastinating a job is that 'I'm afraid to start it because I really don't know how and don't want to mess it up'
Case in point: My daughters coat zipper took 18 months to start and only 2 hours to complete. I kept trying to start it but pushed is aside...scared.
The other case was my braid quilt tops. Again months and months went by because I was scared to start trimming the edges so I could sew together. With the encouragement of a friend nearby I started and completed 2 tops in 2 days!!!
Lesson learned: Don't be a scare-de-cat!!!

And, one can't really feel comfortable "playing" with quilts and learning new techniques without getting the mending done .... as long as you are working toward the ultimate goal, then I say it COUNTS! <wave>
