I'm glad you had such a wonderful experience! I would like to share my 'lightbulb' moment with you ---- I had been shopping for quantity and not quality for years before I went into a LQS ------ well, I discovered that I spend less money when buying fabric at the LQS! I signed up to receive the stores email and I get coupons and sale notices on a regular basis, I shop with a project in mind, and I shop with a carefully planned list, and I always enjoy my shopping time. I still go to Hancocks or JoAnns when I have coupons for notions, batting or books, but I don't over-buy fabric on impulse anymore. I am happier with my projects (both while under construction and the finished quilt) and I have learned to slow down and enjoy the whole process. I may have been ruined, also, but --- I like it. :D
