He's not applying that methodology yet. My DH almost never buys anything new, usually is about one or two models behind the times on purpose... it's just the way he is. He doesn't mind having to take a little extra time to do a job, yet he easily finds ways to accomplish things using the tools that he has. Mind you... that's an excellent attitude to have. Growing up in Maine, my family always "Made do, or do without".

But I am desirious of finding out what quilting tools can be used to do other things. And yes, he knows that there are 'paper' sissors and 'fabric' sissors, kitchen shears and work shears. His mom taught him that.... lol.
