I am in favor of scrappy quilts, in part because they are so lively. mostly, I do unemboidered crazy quilts with scraps. For those, a foundation is important. One member of our guild has zero fabric budget. We supply her with our scraps and with 12.5" muslin foundation pieces. Her blocks go into lots of really nice comfort quilts.
BTW, the peachy stars would have been much nicer on point. I'll do it that way next time.
Thanks for the sizes - of all the photos I am still partial to the scrappy ones. I need to cut all the star pieces since I don't have them. Picked up some white yesterday.
