Actually... I still have two that like to sit IN the tree on the branches. There are others that like to throw themselves on any low-flying ornaments. Naturally, of course. So yes, I now run 100lb test monofiliment from the trunk just below the angel topper out to the hooks in the wall .. on three sides (if the tree is in the corner). Much easier that way. Oh... and don't use real strung popcorn and cranberries as garlands on the tree if you have lots of cats.... <smile> ask me how I know..... lol!
