I have a "Treasure" displayed and hanging in my living room ... when people visit, they are in "awe" and thought I'd share it with you.

Story behind it: This is a Crazy Quilt Throw made by my Great-Great-Great Grandmother, Elizabeth (Stewart) Fiedler in the year 1845. All through the years this treasure had been handed down through the family in a pillow case, for safe keeping, generation after generation ..... and my Mother one day passed it on to me, before she passed away. The silk fabrics in places are/were starting to weaken and I had it professionally archival sealed and framed. I sketched and drew out a Family Tree ... making Elizabeth (Stewart) Fiedler the "trunk" of the tree and branched out the family from there. The finished piece measures 56" wide x 64" long.

I have another hand pieced/sewn "Postage Stamp Quilt" top she made in the year 1840 .... and will post pictures of that project later.
