I didn't ask and not sure how much you've read, but you need to keep a consistant 1/4" seam to make your blocks come out right. If you don't have a 1/4" foot, mark it with masking tape - just measure 1/4" out from the hole your needles goes into.
That and accurate cutting (and the ironing, of course!) is all there is to getting started. Jan
