Put the eggs in water, should they float throw them out.
And I read somewhere that eggs in the grocery store were guaranteed to be less than THREE MONTHS OLD!!!
I find this rather unsettling, to say the least. I was raised on a farm and my Grandma was firm about "trying them out" in water when we found them outside the nests.
I STILL can't believe this. But if so, I can't imagine that your own eggs would be bad. Just my opinion.
