(They come 4 sticks to a one pound package.)
One stick is also 1/2 cup.
An interesting note for anyone who watches Food Network's "Best Thing I Ever Ate" - Chef Robert Irvine (originally from England) described Butter Tarts as one of his favorites, but I don't remember what category it was in.
