I was just in a store today in SE Florida. The owner was explaining that the new bolts were being marked $10.25, and that the batiks would $11.50.
The question a lot of shop owners have is will the prices go down after the industry recovers from this cotton "shortage" (mostly due to bad climate). So she's holding off buying for a few months to see how it plays out.
$11.50 - Yikes!
