What a shame. Some people are so cold now days. I feel the laws should go back to the way they were years ago. If the criminals were caught (like horse & cattle thief's they were hung since that was someones lively hood) a lot of these crimes would stop. I feel this falls under that category cause it is her lively hood. I know this sounds harsh, but as long as the laws protect the criminals now days, it is only going to get worse since if they do get sent to jail now, they get everything provided to them free. They don't have to pay for rent, food, medical, & get all the luxuries we can't afford plus don't have to pay taxes on any of it. I guess that is why they call it the criminal justice system. The criminals are the ones that get any justice. I know the victims don't. My bad for thinking this way?
Halo, I agree with you. America is tops for criminals. We are too soft on them. Look at how other countries handle criminals. And we call ourselves progressive and more enlightened. Crimes against children needs tougher laws. It just makes me sick to see so many doing light time for ruining a childs life. I better stop before I get carried away on that one.
