While browsing at a yard sale this past summer, I purchased some unfinished sewing projects such as table runners and placemats. The vendor asked me if I was a quilter and I told her I was. She then told me about her Mother who had passed away recently. She said she was a designer of quilts and had several of her things stored in a shed. She took my number and when she finally attacked her shed she called me to see if I were interested in looking at her things. Of course I went to her house and proceeded to look at her quilt stash.

I could never convey what was there, but needles to say I purchased all that she had. There were 16, 4 gallon plastic boxes and 4 totes. Each of the 16 boxes had at lease 1 quilt all cut out and ready to be quilted. The 4 totes were full of baby quilts and just yardage to use as backing.

Now to the bad news; she had pages of math equations and notes, drawings and general ideas in each box, but no instructions as to what she wanted done. I started the first one which she named Corner Star and Stars all Around. The fabric was beautiful but not all pieces were cut on the straight and ocassionally a piece would be missing. I finally told myself not to worry so much about her ideas but make it my own...so I am almost ready to quilt the first one. WHEW!!!!
