My mom's aunt was always crocheting. She made beautiful lace tablecloths which are treasured today. My mom knitted beautiful little coats and hats for my daughter and niece but sadly, I don't remember anyone ever making quilts. Another one of my mom's aunts was a seamstress in Hollywood, worked for Don Loper who made costumes for the movies. She sent my sister and me lace from one of Lana Turner's wedding gowns.
