I have made a bunch or them using Eleanor Burns method, Quilt in a Day. She uses big strips, I think 2 1/2" and has you sew the 1st log together with the center as a strip. The center is also 2 1/2". You then cut the sewn together strips at 2 1/2 " and lay those blocks the long way on your next strip. In all you are simply sewing strips and cutting each one as if you're strip piecing. I hope it's clear, but her directions are so clear for a first quilt I loved it. She would even tell you, now you're done, get that fabric out of your way!

I must have made 6 or 7 all sizes because i just loved sitting there and ripping the blocks off.
