Here is a pic of my work in progress. I've been fascinated by trapunto for a long time and finally decided to take the plunge and just try it. I put together the quilt top with the idea of doing some sort of quilting design using trapunto. I wound up with a 92" square quilt (for my bed) in some sunflower fabrics I adored. I marked the quilt where I wanted the trapunto- sunflowers, straight diagonal lines, and feathers (not shown yet). Anyway, I think I may like it. And it wasn't too hard to do either. It just took a while to mark the quilt, sew the batting on with dissolvable thread, and then cut away the excess batting. I'm also using wool batting for the first time and I like it so much I'm probably going to buy lots more. I'll post more pics as I go.
