There was a lot of difference between how he was welcomed home from Viet Nam and then from Afghanistan. When my own 21 year military career started there were not many women in the military at that time and being in uniform was not always an easy thing.

I think videos like this make people who are not affiliated with the military in some way understand military personnel and their families are real human beings and sacrifice much for their country. Whether their country is right or wrong is a matter of personal opinion, but they should still honor those who serve and feel compassion for those who give their lives for their country.

My husband or I do not regret our service to our country.
