Years ago, I bought an 12"X18" cutting turntable with an Olfa mat that was made by Elna (the mat size is actually 11"X17"). I wanted to buy another one for a gift, and learned they had stopped making that one. I bought the only one I could find on the market at the time, got it home and didn't like it, so I took it back. I went to the hardware store and bought the turntable hardware, and had a board cut to fit a 12"X18" Olfa mat and asked my son to put it together. It is a much better rotating cutting board than I have seen anywhere on the market, and the material to make it was not costly. If you can find a lazy susan at a garage sale or flea market, you can remove the turntable, find a board and put it together for very little. Of course you have to buy the cutting mat, but that is what coupons are for ! Be sure to buy the mat first, to know what size to cut the board. I am not sure if the mats are an exact 12"X18". I was glad to see amandasgramma did not have to glue down the mat, and yet it stays in place. My son put a lip around the one he made to hold the mat in place, and I think it was a bit of extra work.
