I got the pattern from Avlyn at:

but I made it differently - sewed strips together and then cut them into rows for the squares - also the squares here are 1.5" and not 2.5" as stated in the pattern. Also, the dark is really a dark, dark brown and not black. It keeps the quilt looking warm and is not such a harsh contrast.
