Today my DH and I went to our JoAnn's Fabric superstore (45 min drive). I just wanted to get some more flannel for a baby boy quilt. This will be my 1st attempt at making a completed quilt (I made just a top of squares 30 yrs ago). Found what I needed but just had to go by the sewing machines like I do all the time. I do know how to sew but haven't for many years and so the Singer machine I got new 25 yrs ago has been just fine. I believe it was one of their best back then. Anyway, after reading on this board for almost a year now, I read all about the wonderful machines you all have (some have quite a lot :)) I knew that eventually I would by a new machine. Today, there was someone actually there to have a conversation with! Well, I had to get a tissue out to wipe the drool...heehee! She showed me the Husqvarna-Viking Designer "Ruby". It was $500 off of the price and I would get $550 in "Viking" dollars to spend at the end of this month. Now this is not the most ideal time to get a new toy that I would need some training in because this is the busiest time of the year for my DH and I in our business (tax season). We left, went to lunch, talked about it, started going home (20 min from home)......turned around to go back and get it :-D So yes my friends on this board, I have a new toy named Ruby and can't wait to use it. Now I feel like I have big girl pants on like most of you have  Thanks for letting me share my good news and I know this is such a great place for advice.
