I love making pillow cases but I hate when the flange points toward the case instead of the hem. SOooo....After I do the hot dog thingy I repress the hem allowing enough room for the seam to go toward the case and the flange to point toward the hem. Then I make a little seam across the casing a very scant 1/4" from the flange. After that I go ahead and do the French seam thing and I'm done.
