I'm very new to quilting, been watching quilting shows on our local PBS station for the last few years, motivating me to try, but fear holding me back. So last year I took the plunge and made my first quilt/comforter [I tied it] for my Dad, it's a DP9 [I learned that on this site, I just saw a picture in a magazine]. Then surfing one day I found your site and have been so impressed at all the talent and advice and just plain friendly feel of you folks, that I haven't been able to get much quilting done. LOL! Actually I have 2 WIP, a wall hanging [which is hanging on my closet doors waiting to be quilted and another quilt for my DGD, that I should be sewing the sashings on right now instead of writing this. Anyways to close this book, I didn't know if I was going to just keep reading for another 6 months or take another plunge... so I took that 2nd plunge and here I am. I have learned so much just reading and I hope to learn so much more. I LOVE the tutorials. This is just an awesome site, and it's really all because of YOU, all of you, thank you for letting me be a part!! Val in WA
