They will sell. I think it would be amusing to sneak a little bit into a scrappy traditional quilt -- just to spice it up for someone who is looking closely.
The Knitmare on Elmstreet is quite witty. I'd make a knitting tote bag with that as the lining.
It may not appeal to you, but if it keeps a new generation of hobbyists interested in buying fabric, and encourages the market to keep producing a huge array of new designs -- that's a good thing, yes?
