you had a very special grandma and a wonderful mother. i just lost my 103 year old grandma dec 19th...she didnt quilt but she was soo wonderful, great cook..wonderful stories of the old days. she did get to see the quilt i made for my son and daughter inlaw this christmas:) she said it was really pretty, and bright, she could see it great. it was a japenesse style, reds, blacks whites, really cool. havent made one in 5 years so was very happy she liked it, kids did too!! but do cherish your mom too. mine had been gone almost 12 years, she did quilt, made quilts from our old cloths and fannel pjs.. still have one i treasure. but your quilt looks very lovely:)
