I have been quilting for a couple years and do a pretty good job. I have even recently finished a storm at sea (posted on another thread w/ quilt for MIL). Have done hardly any machine embroidery. I am doing Dots and Daisies by Smith Street Designs (no relations LOL). Here is my VERY first EVER block! It is so fun and believe it or not I have learned a ton just with this one. The biggest things I have learned is even though it says the tension is on auto... Loosen it a little and instead of using fusible web for some of it.. GLUE STICK! Yup!! A kids washable glue stick!! Honestly!

I'm so excited I can almost squeal! My hubby helped pick out which bundle of fabrics to use. I am using Indigo, Pewter, and Honey from Marcus Fanrics that I got from Hickory Stick Quilt Shop in Hannibal last summer.

I took the pic with my blackberry cuz I really am just too excited to wait n download on computer!

Any other tips will be great! I am using my Janome 9500 and the 5.5 x 7.9 in hoop.
