Hello all -

We've had a busy weekend. We finished quilts for our SS teacher and his wife, and this one for a friend's daughter. She never asked for a quilt, even when we made one for her sister:

Since we didn't know them when Maddie was born, Maddie didn't get a baby quilt. One afternoon when they were over for a visit, she looked at the machines and several fabrics we had sitting around, and asked, "Do you ever make any blue quilts?" We decided right then and there that she would have a blue quilt.

We had visited New York City to visit our niece and went to a fabric store while we were there. We picked up the circles fabric there, but didn't have a plan for it (of course). The dark blue and light blue solids came from an estate sale. Everything else except the back and borders was from our stash. Maddie is away from home this weekend, so we gave it to her mom at church today. We should be getting pictures tomorrow night.
