It is quite deep but not as bad as 2001. Trouble we have been having is rain, freeze, snow, rain, freeze, snow. Makes the roads almost unpassable. Hard to get to the bird feeders. We feed harris sparrows, chickadees, nuthatches, downy and hairy woodpeckers, pilated woodpeckers, yellow belly woodpeckers, 2 starlings left over from last fall, 5 red squirrels that clean up under the feeders and try to get the suet cakes (which I make), 3 gray squirrels and one cardinal. I really got into a panic when we didn't go to town for 2 weeks and I was on my last suet cakes and the end of the bag of bird food.
