Our church quilt group uses what ever is donated. So we have used the ginghams quite often, we line them with flannel sheeting and then back in solid 100% cotton. We wash and preshrink the sheeting before using. This makes for a very nice baby quilt for Linus Project. They are soft and hold up very well.
Daisydoodle, by 'line them with flannel sheeting' do you mean you use that for the fill instead of batting?
