I would ask you this: do you want to put in cornerstones or not?
If yes, then would you consider making some kind of quilting or embroidery design where the cornerstones would be? Do you like to unsew? Is this a project you wanted to finish so you could do more?
It is YOUR quilt ... so ... it is your choice.
