I was thinking the same thing. I have instructed my daughter to drape one of my quilts over the coffin but I don't want one to be buried with me. I surely won't need it where I'm going and I don't mean the hot place.
That's funny! It makes the ones "left behind" feel good - doesn't do a thing for the one inside after death, although it's
comforting to them prior to the event.
AND on top of that I'm having a closed coffin at my funeral. I think I would sit up and spit if someone came by and said "Oh, doesn't she look natural?" To think that I would look 'natural' lying there dead is just too much!!! And yes, I know I won't know anything about it - but still - just don't want to give anyone the opportunity to say it. lol
