I made this quilt top about 1.5 years ago. It is my first ever, my "learner" project. Nobody told me that triangles are hard, but I found that out all by myself. And no one told me to start small, but I found that out all by myself, too.

It was supposed to be a scrappy look, but I didn't like how it looked, so chose a red, white, blue palette.

So I took it out of hiding (in my closet) to see how much my skills have progressed since then. And I noticed something that I had not noticed when I was piecing it...(drumroll) In addition to pinwheels and hourglasses, there are stars! Depending on how you look at it, the dark reds or the dark blues make stars!

And it looks much better to me now that some time has passed and I can't remember where all the mistakes are.

The passage of time has allowed me to enjoy it. :-D
