I use 100% cotton batting. The backing was cotton also. Here's a pic of the back. I shop for fabric at several places and keep on hand but the panels came from Wal-mart and I bought more on line at Bearpawquilting.com. Most the fabics of outdoors type came from Bearpawquilting, they get a lot of my business. I also shop at whittles on line, great prices for a fabric junkie like me. I collect fabric I like and wait to get that spark of inspiration. My quilts are coming together faster now. My poor son had to live through my learning curve. He got to watch it evolve though, which was kind of fun I think.
