I should be at the quilting stage this week for the baby applique quilt I am working on, so will give it a go, I usually use my even feed foot, OR my open toe, depending if I am going around curves or not. My only concern is that you don't get a clear view with it, but aren't you supposed to line up the central plate with your line of stitching????
