I am a relatively new machine free motion quilter. I can quilt if I follow marked lines pretty well but just winging it is a challenge. I recently bought a 36" piece of Machine Quilting Skill Builder #1 fabric and it is really helping me learn different designs. I have made a sandwich with the practice material on the top, batting, and brown solid on the bottom. I'm using pink thread in the bobbin so that my stitching will show against the brown backing. It is proving to be an excellent learning project and refferal for future designs.
I purchased my material at a LQS but have seen it on ebay also.
