I don't think any of the quilts pictured in this post are ugly. In other countries where the fabric selection is limited women are having to make do with what they can get. I remember someone on this board lives abroad and her fabric is actually being brought to her with family or being mailed to her. We are lucky to have such a selection of color and texture to use for our quilts. Ladies, finish your quilts and once it's done look at it from afar. I bet it will look different then.
