Terri--love your apron glad you are making for your MIL and FIL they will be thrilled.
We decided to not exchange gifts with my hubby family about 15 years ago money was tight at that time so they decided that they no longer wanted to do Christmas with us. I guess if some don't get gifts than you can't just enjoy everyones company and get together for a meal. There loss not ours.
My family is tooo large to give gifts so we always just got together for a meal----hubby likes my family better!!!hehehe
