I don't know how it is with the featherweight. I have never had a problem losing that screw, but I do upholstery work and when one of my screws came out, I was told that you can't just buy the screw you have to buy the whole bobbin assembly. I don't know if that is the case with the home sewing machines.

Maybe a call to a repair shop will answer your question.
