I watched a tutorial yesterday called 'ladder stitch for binding'. I was so impressed that I tried it today on a quilt I was finishing up and it is amazing. I never really liked the look of my hand stitched binding on the back of my quilt, but this tip is fabulous. Please watch it, you will be so glad you did.
