They are nice. I like nr. 3 the best, but honestly, any one would be wonderful! He is not a quilt connoisseur so he sounds like he'd be happy with anything you do.
(By that I mean it sounds like he's an easy-going type person who is quite willing to let you decide--not that you won't do what's beautiful.)
But maybe nr. 4 is better if he prefers cream since nr. 3 has a darker background color. They are really, really nice.
