This is stunning. I have started a shoe box with cut strips as suggested. That is going well. I am now definitely adding a roll of till tape and going to use my bags of scraps to make a long 'snake'. This will be fun when i am BETWEEN projects.

I started with a hat-box labeled "small pieces" because I couldn't bear to throw away anything! Now it has grown to 4 boxes! But a hat box is the perfect size because it is wide and not deep. (I'm referring to men's western hats, not the octagon or round boxes that ladies' hats come in.) Ha! A shoe box would never have been large enough! Anyway, now I have a good way to use these pieces! Thanks to everyone who embellished on this idea!
