I bought an old table and my husband boosted the height by screwing blocks of wood under the legs so that it was at a height where it did not hurt my back to stand and cut. I covered it with one of those large cutting mats so it dosen't even matter that it was ugly and really cheap.
I remember the days when I could sit on the floor for hours and work on my projects...those days are over.
