Ok, so now I am just going to lay Unit 2 face down on top of Unit 1. And I am marking corner to corner just like it is a big quilt square.
And once again I am going to sew down the line, cut off the excess (which is the not whole side) and press open.
This is where the magic happens and turns into a BIG BLOCK. It is 1/4 of my quilt top.
