This big star block measures about 31" square. So now I just need to add a couple of borders and that is it. It may be a few days until I do them but I will post a pic afterwards so you can see it finished.

This was the important part to see in progress. You all know how to add borders already so no need to document that.

The book is
big one-star quilts by magic (all lowercase)
by Nancy Johnson-Srebro

and there are 14 different stars in 4 different sizes each. I used "wall hanging" size here and borders make it big enough for a baby. I used all flannels. This is a very forgiving method. There are very nearly no seams to match at all until you get to the last 4 blocks and then you just make sure the star edges are aligned.

Some of the stars get more complex and then of course there are more seams. I have done another one of them and it is at Charisma's being quilted now. I will post pics of my work and hers... when it gets here.
