They look fine nena, good idea to practice first! Have you sewed the two halves together though? it's hard to tell from your pic. You have to just pin them together in halves at this stage so you can sew them in strips later - with NO Y seams. Also press the seams open. But I don't think your points are wonky at all! :-D
