Took my machine back to store today - took about 5 minutes to find the problem. It was somehow connected to the bobbin winder - somehow a piece got stuck and stopped the needle from working???? Anyway, he got it loose, oiled it and it works. Hoping that it won't happen anymore. Thank you to those who responded!!!
