Per the previous advice, the minkee is very stretchy and slippery on its own. If you add a silky anything into the mix, it will be like "greased ice". Unless you want a lot of aggravation, suggest that you forget the silky binding for any purpose in this quilt. Also, if you pillowcase the top and the minkee, you will not be able to do any quilting on the top because the minkee will stretch. As Ckcowl suggested, the best you will be able to do in pillowcasing it is to then top stitch around the edges. Even then it will require concentration and slow stitching. Good luck.
