posted this on my other site, titled "I hope she will help a child with cancer'...but was so happy with this one in particular, that I needed to share it with you guys as well. For the hair (in case you are wondering....I took 9 strands and used a large eye needle to put them through the fablic to double the amount 2 x's 9=18 pieces of yarn(per side of dolls head) and used 6 strands each to braid and tie off on the end. I repeated on each side for an overall braided hairdo in a dark brown yarn. I took bits of yarn and scraps of fabric and joined them all together for a skirt then joined it to a top for a dress. She wears 'pantaloons'. It was a complete work of joy to do this so totally different doll and I hope you enjoy seeing it. It will go to a child with cancer or other dibilitating illness. The doll is shown front and back for clarity. Hope the good Lord gives me 70 more years to do this kind of thing (but seriously doubt that happening....giggling)
