So I've been watching Craigslist lately for garage sales to try and get fabric inexpensively. And I saw this today:

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv...173995256.html

It was a bit of a drive for me, as I live about an hour and 20 minutes away, but hoo-boy was it worth it! I'm not going to have to buy fabric again for a very long time.

The pictures in the listing don't look like much, but there was actually quite a lot of it. The majority of the stuff she had to sell was cotton; not specifically quilting cotton, mostly Joann quality, but that's fine for me; she had bought it for a clothes business she used to have. I filled up 19 grocery store bags, and paid $180 for it all (she gave me a discount because I bought so much!) Having just looked through a couple of my bags, there's around 30+ yards of fabric in each bag, which works out to around $0.30 a yard!

There was still a lot there -- if you live in the LA area, it's worth checking out. She's trying to get rid of it all before she moves in a month. There's a good mixture of fabric, from blenders, to florals, and some big print stuff, including some Hawaiian type fabrics. I promised I would post about it here in the hopes that some people would be interested, and help divest her of some of it :)
