there is a magic way done here.. two squares rights side together, sew all four sides 1/4 in. cut corner to corner =4 sets of squares for pin wheels or what ever you want..

I add one more step to this method. Starch the snot out of your fabric before you cut it into the squares. Then iron the squares together before sewing. It helps them 'stick' together so you don't have to pin them
