I love to hand quilt, but have been machine quilting lately just to get the projects finished (I do, however, use a treadle machine, if that counts!). I've recently had a desire to go back to hand quilting because of the reasons many others gave - the portability and the pure joy of it.
I just ordered a Barnett lap quilting frame (
http://www.laptophoops.com/Original-Design-Frames.html) after reading a lot of good things about them. Previously I had a huge frame set up and felt isolated from the family. This seems like it'll work well for what I want it for - to be in the same room with my family AND still be able to quilt. The customer service of this company was awesome, btw.
I'm curious, anybody ever hand quilt a bargello quilt?? I'm going to be starting one soon, and I wonder if it's possible to hand quilt it because of all the seams. ANY input would be greatly appreciated.
